A thin quilted layer with a polyester staple fill. There is no down in this garment, so the down-specific rows below read as not applicable rather than being quietly omitted. Sewn-through quilting means the shell and lining are stitched directly together, so the loft collapses to nothing along every seam line — visible in the cutaway.
