1. Who you are contracting with

Your contract is with L & E S.R.L., Via della Moscova 49, 20121 Milano (MI), Italia, VAT number 10214460965, entered in the Registro Imprese di Milano Monza Brianza Lodi. Sartone is a trading name of that company. Full registration data is on the legal notice.

These terms apply to consumers — natural persons acting outside their trade, business or profession — and are governed by the Italian Consumer Code (legislative decree 206/2005). Where you are buying in the course of a business, the withdrawal right in section 8 does not apply to you; everything else does.

2. Who may buy

• You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
• This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly sell to anyone under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you are between 13 and 17, a parent or guardian must place the order and must give consent for any data we hold.
• We may decline or cancel an order where we cannot verify the delivery address, where the order appears to be for resale, or where we are prevented from supplying you by law.

3. What we sell

Outerwear only: tailored jackets, overcoats, trench coats and rain jackets, casual jackets, insulated jackets and coats, and sets of those garments. Prices run from USD 148 to USD 1,180. Every garment is a finished, ready-to-wear piece produced to a standard size. We do not alter garments and we do not offer custom sizing.

Each product page states the fibre composition in English and Italian, the cloth weight, the front interlining, the lining and facing, where the fabric was woven and where the garment was sewn, and — where the garment is insulated — the ratio of down to feather, the fill power with its test standard, the fill weight in grams and the source animal. Those disclosures form part of the description of the goods for the purposes of the statutory guarantee.

4. Prices and currency

• Every price on this site is expressed and charged in US dollars (USD). There is no second currency and no currency selector. Your card issuer may apply its own conversion and a foreign-transaction fee; that is between you and your issuer and we receive none of it.
• Prices shown include Italian VAT at 22% where the order is delivered within the European Union. Where the order is delivered outside the European Union, the price is shown net of Italian VAT and the taxes of the destination country apply instead.
• Shipping is charged separately and is shown before you confirm. Standard shipping is USD 18 and is free on orders above USD 199. Express shipping is USD 42.
• Struck-through prices. Where we ever show a former price beside a selling price, that former price will be the lowest price we actually applied to that item in the previous thirty days, as required by directive 98/6/EC as amended. If we cannot satisfy that test, we show no former price at all. At the date of this page, no item in the shop carries a struck-through price.

5. How the contract is formed

1. You add items to the cart and open the checkout.
2. You complete the contact and delivery form. Nothing is charged at this point, and the order does not yet exist.
3. You are taken to the payment page, where you authorise payment. This is your offer to buy.
4. We send an order acknowledgement to the email address you gave. This confirms we have received the order; it is not yet acceptance.
5. The contract is formed when we send the dispatch confirmation. If we cannot supply an item, we tell you and refund it in full — we do not substitute.

Before you authorise payment you can review and correct every field, change quantities and remove items. We keep a record of the order and will send you a copy on request.

6. Payment and payment security

• We accept major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express. The methods available to you are shown at checkout before you commit.
• Card details are entered on the certified payment page of our payment provider. They are not transmitted to us, not processed by us and not stored on our servers at any point. We never see your full card number.
• Our payment provider is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level defined by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. This entire website is served over HTTPS with TLS.
• Payment is taken in USD. The amount authorised is the order total shown on the confirmation screen — order value plus shipping, with no separate handling charge and no surcharge for paying by card.
• If a payment is declined, no order is created. We do not retry a declined payment automatically.

7. Delivery

Destinations, carriers, timescales and rates are set out in full under shipping and returns. In summary: standard delivery takes 5 to 9 business days and express 2 to 4 business days, counted from dispatch.

Where no delivery date has been agreed, we will deliver within 30 days of the day the contract was formed, which is the statutory maximum under article 61 of the Consumer Code. If we miss it, you may give us a further reasonable period; if we miss that too, you may cancel and receive a full refund without delay.

Risk of loss or damage passes to you when you, or a carrier you appointed yourself, take physical possession of the goods. Where we appoint the carrier, the risk is ours until delivery.

8. Cancellation, withdrawal and returns

You may withdraw from any order within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. Before dispatch you may simply cancel — write to support@leclothing.shop and if the parcel has not left us we will stop it and refund in full. We sell no subscriptions, no memberships, no recurring plans and no stored balances, so there is nothing on this site that can renew or that needs cancelling later.

9. Statutory guarantee

Everything we sell carries the statutory guarantee of conformity for 2 years from delivery under articles 128 to 135-septies of the Consumer Code. That guarantee sits alongside the withdrawal right rather than replacing it. See the guarantee page.

10. Promotions and discount codes

These terms apply to every promotion we run, and are repeated wherever a code appears.

• First-order code FIRST10 — 10 per cent off the goods value of a first order of USD 199 or more. One use per customer and per delivery address.
• A code applies to the goods value only. It is never applied to shipping, to duty or to tax.
• Codes cannot be combined with one another, and only one code applies per order.
• A code has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be applied retrospectively to an order already placed.
• If you withdraw from part of a discounted order, the refund is calculated after the discount — you are refunded what you actually paid for the returned item, not its undiscounted price. If the remaining order then falls below the threshold that qualified for the code, we do not claw the discount back.
• We may withdraw or change a promotion at any time. Doing so never affects an order already placed.

11. Legal and export restrictions

Some of what we sell is animal-derived, and some destinations restrict it. These restrictions are ours as well as the law’s, and they are applied before your order ships.

• We do not ship to any territory subject to EU restrictive measures, nor to any person or entity named on an EU or UN sanctions list.
• Goose and duck down (line E) and goat suede (D-05) are animal-derived. Some territories require an import permit or a veterinary declaration for animal-derived textiles. Where an import permit is required and you do not hold one, we will cancel the order and refund it in full rather than ship a parcel that will be seized.
• We do not ship to freight-forwarding addresses, because we cannot evidence delivery to the buyer and cannot honour the return process from one.
• We do not ship to post office boxes. Every order is sent on a signed service.

Where you import into a country outside the European Union, you are the importer of record. Import duty, customs charges and local sales tax are assessed by the destination country and are payable by you. We cannot tell you what they will be, and we cannot pay them for you. If a parcel is refused at customs and returned to us, we refund the goods value less the outbound carriage actually incurred.

12. What we do not sell

Sartone trades in outerwear and nothing else. We do not deal in any of the following, and no order placed here will ever involve them:

• Gambling, betting or games of chance
• Adult goods or services
• Lending, credit broking or any regulated financial service
• Payment collection or money transmission on behalf of third parties
• Cryptocurrency, tokens or any digital asset
• Firearms, ammunition, weapons or parts thereof
• Tobacco, nicotine products, alcohol or controlled substances
• Prescription or over-the-counter medicines, supplements or medical devices
• Regulated medical or diagnostic services
• Explosives, fireworks or pyrotechnics
• Counterfeit goods, or goods bearing third-party trade marks, characters, teams, films or likenesses

13. Claims we do not make

We describe garments in terms we can evidence. In particular: we make no origin claim beyond naming the country where the fabric was woven and the country where the garment was sewn; we describe interlining by its actual construction and never by a grade we have not used; and we state a water-repellency rating only where the fabric has been tested, and we publish the test conditions with it. 14. Liability

We are liable for foreseeable loss caused by our failure to perform this contract with reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited under Italian law. We are not liable for loss arising from your use of a garment in a way it was not described for — in particular, we are not liable for the consequences of treating a water-repellent coat as protection in sustained rain, which is exactly why the rating and the test are published on the page.

15. Complaints and disputes

Write to support@leclothing.shop and we will acknowledge within one business day and give a substantive answer within fourteen days. If the outcome does not satisfy you, the three independent routes open to you — the European ODR platform, mediation through the chamber of commerce, and a report to the AGCM — are listed on the policies page.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

Italian law governs this contract. For consumers, the exclusive forum is the court of the place where you reside or are domiciled. Nothing in these terms removes the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you habitually reside.

17. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you placed it, and we keep every previous version — ask at support@leclothing.shop and we will send you the one that governed your purchase.
