Layering allowance — Roughly 13 cm of ease at chest level. Cut for a shirt and at most a fine knit; there is no lining to help a heavier layer slide underneath.

14 days to withdraw without giving a reason, and 2 years of statutory conformity cover under Italian law. Right of withdrawal.

A third lighter than the standard gabardine and unlined through the body. It packs down to about the size of a folded shirt, holds a trench silhouette in still air, and gives up that silhouette in wind. Bought for the shape and the weight, not for protection.

What this layer changes

Weight decides drape more than fibre does. The same wool at 300 gsm and at 500 gsm are two different garments — one follows the body, the other hangs off the shoulder in a column.
